Pastoring a church

The Greek word translated pastor (poimhn) means ‘shepherd’. In the Bible this word is first used to refer to God’s relationship with his people Israel: as he cares for them, guides them, saves and protects them. (Psalm 95:6-7 and also Isaiah 40:11, Ezekiel 34:11-15, Psalm 23 and many more.)
